Privacy Policy
QuickRead · Last updated: 16 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the QuickRead app collects and how it is used. QuickRead is a product of Ninja Innovations Private Limited, Gurugram, Haryana, India (“we”, “us”).
1. Information kept only on your phone
To work properly, the app stores the following on your own device. It is not sent to us:
- articles you save (bookmarks), and your likes and dislikes;
- which cards you have already seen, so new ones can be shown first;
- how often you use each section, so your favourite sections can come first;
- your settings, such as the topic filter you chose, the sections you hid, the last section you were reading, and your notification choice.
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your phone's settings, deletes all of this.
2. Information our servers receive
- Requests for content. When the app loads articles and pictures, our servers receive the request in the usual way any website does, including your internet (IP) address and the basic technical details every internet request carries. This is used to deliver content, keep the service running and protect it from misuse (for example, limiting too many requests from one address). Our hosting providers keep such server logs for a limited time.
- Notifications (only if you turn them on). If you allow notifications, the app sends us a notification token — a random code issued for this app on your phone — together with your phone's platform (Android) and the app version. It does not identify you personally. We use it only to send QuickRead notifications. When you turn notifications off in the app, we stop sending to that token. We also count how many readers open each notification, without recording who.
- Advertisements. QuickRead may show advertisements that we sell directly. We count how many times each ad is shown and tapped, per day and per section, as totals only. No device or personal identifier is stored with these counts. Tapping an ad opens the advertiser's own website, which has its own privacy policy.
QuickRead does not use third-party advertising networks, tracking tools or analytics services, and does not build a profile of you.
3. Service providers
We use the following providers to run QuickRead. They process information only to provide their service to us:
- Render — servers that run the QuickRead service;
- MongoDB Atlas — the database that stores articles and notification tokens;
- Amazon Web Services (S3) — storage for article pictures;
- Expo and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of notifications to Android phones.
Their servers may be located outside India.
4. Links to other websites
Some articles have a link to the full story on another website, and ads link to advertisers' websites. Those websites are not run by us; their own privacy policies apply.
5. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade any information. We share information only with the service providers listed above, or when required by law.
6. Children
QuickRead is a general news and reading app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your choices
- You can turn notifications off at any time in the app (Profile) or in your phone's settings.
- You can delete everything stored on your phone by uninstalling the app or clearing its data.
- For any question or request about your information, write to us at the address below.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
